Citizenship Learning In a Programme for Secondary Education)
is a project, co-financed by the Lifelong Learning Programme of the
European Union (EACEA), which aims to develop, test, and implement a
Civic Education Programme for citizenship in the European dimension for
pupils of grade 8 and 9 in the secondary school...
Together with the key competences (such as learning to learn, initiative, etc.), the civic competence and the European dimension are the basic elements of ECLIPSE.
The Consortium involves six partners coming from 6 EU countries (Germany, Italy, Romania, Portugal, Spain, and United Kingdom), with complementary expertise in education of young people and in training teachers. Moreover, the network allows exchange of knowledge and best practices, good premise for a quality work in the closed interdependent member States of the European Union, and produce theoretic and practical results.
